Lloyd Marcus sent out an email about Dick Durbin and his reprehensible record. It’s time to get on board with the new campaign to Dump Dick Durbin in 2014.
Illinois conservatives have watched with dismay as Durbin started out as a conservative initially to get the vote, and the longer he remained in office, the more he betrayed his constituents. He started out as a pro-lifer, but no longer holds that view, of course.
Dick Durbin is up for re-election in 20014 and everyone with a brain in their head should rally to oust this disgusting career politician and get someone in there who realizes, acknowledges and lives into what being a public servant means.

Now Durbin is at it again – targeting the conservative public policy group ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) and trying to intimidate and harass the group’s donors. Fortunately some in Congress are calling Durbin out, including Senator Ted Cruz.

As usual, leftists are conflating “Stand Your Ground” law with the Trayvon Martin shooting that unfairly demonized George Zimmerman. ALEC supported “Stand Your Ground” law in Florida. Despite what the “Justice for Trayvon” people say, “Stand Your Ground” had nothing to do with the Trayvon Martin Shooting. Zimmerman was helpless, pinned underneath Trayvon Martin, who was pummeling him Mixed Martial Arts style. There was no place where Zimmerman could have retreated.
But these facts don’t deter leftists. Breitbart.com reported:
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) put out a strong statement today in reaction to Durbin’s chilling letter to ALEC donors:
Senator Durbin’s request for ALEC supporters to announce an official position on gun laws in advance of a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee hearing is inappropriate, and I encourage recipients not to respond. While Senator Durbin is free to make any inquiry he likes, in my view this effort represents an inappropriate governmental intrusion into the personal and political views of American citizens and businesses. In light of the current IRS targeting scandal, this action raises concerns about retaliation against those who may disagree with the Chairman and the Obama Administration.
Durbin also has partnered with leftist radical Tammy Duckworth, who is supported by self-described Socialists. Durbin’s outrageous stance on issues should send everyone to the polls to oust him.
He is a strong proponent for amnesty for illegals, and you can see his communist supporters here.

Durbin has attacked the NRA and is anti-Gun and a huge proponent for Gun Control.
Durbin is anti-military as evidenced by his comparison of the US military personnel at GITMO to Nazis, the Soviets and their gulags, and the communist Cambodian mass murdered Pol Pot.
When a federal judge ruled ObamaCare was unconstitutional, Dick Durbin told the Obama administration to ignore the judge’s ruling and enforce of ObamaCare anyway.
It was Senator Dick Durbin who called on the IRS to investigate conservative organizations such as the Tea Partys.
